Frequently asked questions
- How much preparation is included in interior painting? +
- Preparation is the bulk of the work: filling, caulking, sanding, spot priming and stain blocking as needed so the finished paint film is flat and hard-wearing rather than simply covering the old surface.
- Do I need to move out while you decorate? +
- Almost never. We work room by room, sheet everything down and use low-odour water-based products wherever possible, so most clients stay in the property throughout.
- Can you help me choose colours? +
- Yes. Adam trained in art and colour and will talk through palettes, sheen levels and how light moves through the room, and can arrange sample pots or brush-outs before committing.
- What paints do you use on woodwork and joinery? +
- Modern water-based eggshells and satinwoods for low odour and fast recoating, or traditional oil-based finishes where you want the deepest, hardest sheen. We recommend the right system for each surface.
- Do you do wallpapering and specialist finishes as well? +
- Yes. Alongside interior painting we hang wallpaper and murals, hand paint kitchens and furniture, and carry out specialist finishes such as marbling and dragging.
